Ep. 276 - Doves & Serpents
MINISTRY MOMENT
Have you seen yourself fall into one of these two camps: a Christian who is unapologetically weak and fearfully willing to overlook any kind of malicious offense or attack - or a Christian who is unloving, harsh, judgemental and deceptive. Don’t let the world define your life and actions as a follower of Jesus. There is a third option!
PRAYER POINT
“Father, thank You that YOU have an amazing plan and purpose for my life. Forgive me for the many times I find myself not acting like a faithful Christian. Help me realize that you have called me to be both a dove and a serpent - I am called to be both bold and wise. Thank You for leading me and guiding me. In Your name, I pray, Amen!”
GOING DEEPER
Read and study Matthew 10:16 and Mark 11:15-18.
WALK IT OUT
It can be so easy to remain silent and fearful, when we should be speaking out as Christians. We can ask the Holy Spirit for wisdom as we engage with different decisions and scenarios throughout each week: “as a follower of Jesus, how should I respond?”
SHARE WITH OTHERS
If you see a close friend or family member struggling in this area, remind them and encourage them with these Biblical truths. It’s good for all of us to be reminded that each day we can choose to be both bold and wise as we come across obstacles and hard situations.
