Ep. 465 - The Good Shepherd
MINISTRY MOMENT
When we walk through darkness and trials, God is right there with us. He never says it will be easy, but He promises to be with us through it all. Notice in this verse that it says His rod AND his staff comforts us. The rod is a symbol of God’s protection and strength, used to defend off opposition. The staff symbolizes God’s guidance, just as it was used to direct the flock of sheep.
PRAYER POINT
"Father, thank You for being the Good Shepherd, watching over me and guiding me through all my hills and valleys. I pray today that You go before me, behind me and beside me. Give me wisdom and strength in all situations and decisions I face today. In Jesus’ name, Amen!"
GOING DEEPER
Read and study Psalm 23. Meditate and take time to memorize these verses.
WALK IT OUT
What does it look like to be a true disciple who walks out Psalm 23 in their life? They make the Lord over everything in their life, trusting Him to refresh, restore, guide, and provide for them. Turning towards and not away from Him in the middle of trouble. It means being submitted to Jesus and allowing Him to sanctify their life for His glory.
