Ep. 475 - Good Deeds

MINISTRY MOMENT

Jesus says to not do your good deeds publicly as hypocrites do. These are the people who do the “right thing” with the wrong motives. They only care about how other people see them, and making a name for themselves. Instead, Jesus says the best way to bless others is to do it in a way where God gets all the glory. In His words: “Don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. Give your gifts in private, and your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.”

PRAYER POINT

“Father, help me give and be a blessing to others, so that You get all the glory, praise, and honor. Teach me to be a blessing, so that I myself might be blessed.”

GOING DEEPER

God wants our hearts, not our service. When we give anonymously to be a blessing, with no other expectations of getting something in return, we touch the heart of the Father and truly act like Christ.
