Ben Phillips
Media & High School Ministry Director
I’m originally from Topeka, Kansas, and grew up in the local church. I met my wife, Chelsie, at the church we both grew up in, and we got married in 2020. After getting married, we served as youth pastors in Topeka before God called us to join Youth With a Mission (YWAM) in 2022.
During our time with YWAM, we had the privilege of traveling to different nations and preaching the Gospel. We also traveled throughout the United States preaching in churches, high schools, and universities, calling young people to respond to Jesus, surrender their lives to Him, and take their place in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19). Those years shaped me deeply and gave me a greater burden to see people saved, disciples made, and young people understand that they were never created to sit on the sidelines.
God eventually opened the door for us to join the team at Rev City, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve this generation. Jesus radically changed my life as a teenager, and that encounter has marked me ever since. My heart is to see young people go after God with everything they have, walk in holiness, carry the presence of God, and live with boldness in a generation surrounded by darkness.
I believe God is raising up young people who will not compromise, who will not be ashamed of the Gospel, and who will say yes to whatever Jesus asks of them. It’s an honor to disciple, equip, and commission them to make Jesus known.
One of the greatest gifts God has given me is getting to do ministry alongside my wife, Chelsie. We have one son, Elijah, who is one of the greatest joys of our lives. Outside of ministry, I love spending time with family and friends, watching sports, being outdoors, and competing in just about anything, but especially when I get the chance to beat Chelsie!
