Ep. 604 - What God Wants

MINISTRY MOMENT

Do you ever find yourself overwhelmed with how to follow God or knowing that you are doing the right thing? While sometimes it can take time to discern God’s will for a specific direction, oftentimes, it is as simple as looking at what God has directed us to do in the Bible and doing it. This can be easier said than done. Though simple, obeying God’s direction often involves putting God’s will above our own, but that also makes sense why it is such a powerful way to show our trust and love for God.

PRAYER POINT

"God, do You have anything right now You would like me to do?" (Listen for a couple of minutes to see if you feel like He highlights anything). "Please help me to be sensitive to Your voice today and obey what You have for me."

GOING DEEPER

Read and study John 14:15-18 and 1 Samuel 15:22.

WALK IT OUT

Think about if there is anything that you have felt like God has been nudging you to do. Then, instead of justifying it away or putting it off, take a step to do it today. If you are uncertain about what you should do with a challenge in your life, take some time to search what God has to say about it in the Bible and do your best to follow God’s direction in that challenging situation.

SHARE WITH OTHERS

Oftentimes, just being obedient to what God tells you to do leads you to share with and help others. So, when you are around others today, just ask God, “What do you have for me to do or say to bless this person?” Then, do your best to follow God’s direction.
