Ep. 341 - Mercy Seat

MINISTRY MOMENT

Have you ever dealt with seeing God as distant or heavy handed? Be encouraged today that He covers His commands and corrections with His mercy.

PRAYER POINT

“Father, thank You that You are a God of mercy, slow to anger, and rich in mercy. Thank You that Your mercies are new every morning towards me. Help me to walk in the goodness of Your mercies towards me today and everyday. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

GOING DEEPER

Read and study Exodus 25:10-22 (NKJV or ESV).

WALK IT OUT

Don’t allow the enemy to use shame or condemnation to hinder you today. According to James 2, “mercy has triumphed over judgment.”

SHARE WITH OTHERS

Look for the opportunity to remind someone about God’s mercies, or to share with someone about how the mercy seat covered the law and the staff of God in the Ark of the Covenant. Encourage someone that the mercy seat was the place from which God spoke to the people of God.
