Ep. 701 - Disappointment Isn't Defeat

Sep 29, 2025

MINISTRY MOMENT

We can certainly have moments of being let down but don’t allow that to turn into a movement in your heart and in your life. Because we as believers in Jesus already have the victory in Him. So, we will have times where we HAD HOPED but we can’t lose sight that we, today, HAVE HOPE because the Bible declares that we are “more than conquers” and that “the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.”

PRAYER POINT

“Father, I rejoice and give You thanks because of Your love demonstrated through Jesus. I have the victory in and through Him. God, the enemy will no longer try to convince, confuse, or conflate my biggest moments of feeling disappointed with being defeated. Jesus, today I praise Your name and exalt Your name over my disappointments. It’s in Your name I pray, Amen!”

GOING DEEPER

Read and study Luke 24:13-23, Deuteronomy 20:4, and Romans 8:31-37.

WALK IT OUT

Both victory and defeat are found in the repeat! So, ask yourself in your next alone or quiet time with the Lord, “am I repeating the disappointments or am I repeating what God’s Word declares over my life?” If you keep repeating the disappointments it will leave you feeling defeated. Begin to repeat to yourself the victory we have in Jesus!
