Ep. 873 - My or Thy?
MINISTRY MOMENT
Church, one of the most powerful truths in Scripture is that God never forces His love on us. He invites us to choose it. In Matthew 7:21, Jesus gives a sobering reminder that not everyone who acknowledges Him will truly follow Him. The difference is not just what we say about God, but what we do with His lordship over our lives.
PRAYER POINT
"Father, thank You that You invite us into relationship rather than forcing us into obedience. Search my heart today. Show me any area where I am still holding onto control instead of surrendering it to You. Help me live with a heart that says, “Thy will be done,” even when Your will is hard to understand. Protect me from the deception of believing in You without truly following You. In Jesus’ name, Amen."
GOING DEEPER
Read the parable of the prodigal son in Luke 15:11-32. Ask yourself these two questions: which son do I relate to most right now, and what would full surrender look like in this season of my life?
WALK IT OUT
Write down one area of your life where you are still saying, “my will be done.” Pray and surrender that area to God out loud, even if it feels uncomfortable.
