MINISTRY MOMENT

Are you focusing more on your circumstances or on your God? When we lose focus of how incredibly kind, loving, faithful, and POWERFUL our God is - our circumstances can feel impossible to overcome.

PRAYER POINT

"God, help me focus on YOU in every season and circumstance. You are the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. You spoke the PLANET into being with just a word. I love You and I trust You. You have my yes, and You have my trust - regardless of my circumstances."

WALK IT OUT

Scripture says that God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Some translations say “self control” in lieu of sound mind. We have to make a daily (and sometimes hourly!) decision to command our mind to focus on what we want to focus on. We get to choose - we can focus on our circumstances, OR our God.

If you are up against a wall, or have a friend who is - I want to encourage you to invite a small group of Christians to keep you accountable with your mindset as you’re navigating it. Scripture says in Psalm 23 that He prepares a table for us in the presence of our enemies. That means despite whatever challenges we’re experiencing right now we have the opportunity to sit down, and enjoy a feast with our Heavenly Father. We just have to chill out, focus on Him, and sit at the table. But if you’re focusing on the enemies surrounding you - it’s impossible.
