Think about ways that you can encourage others around you throughout your day. What might be holding you back from sharing encouragement with others?

PRAYER POINT

Holy Spirit, help me to encourage others today. Please highlight opportunities for me to build others up in word, action, or deed. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

GOING DEEPER

In addition to scripture that calls us to encourage others, there are even scriptures that tell us our hearts will be encouraged by the Lord Jesus Christ: 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 states “May our Lord Jesus Christ…encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.” Romans 15:5 states “May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had…”

WALK IT OUT

When you think something positive about your spouse, child, friend, co-worker, or stranger, share it with them!

SHARE WITH OTHERS

Talk with people that you are close with and find out what encourages them. Challenge each other to be purposeful in encouraging others daily.
