Ep. 7 - Loving the Lord with Your Mind

MINISTRY MOMENT

Even in a world consumed by secular media, we are meant to live apart from the world and to set our minds on things above. How can we advance the kingdom of God if we are listening, reading and watching the same things unbelievers do? We will not be perfect at this, but by God’s guidance, we can strive to grow in this area.

PRAYER POINT

Father, thank you for sending your Son to die on the cross, so we may have freedom. As we walk in this freedom, give us wisdom and discernment to what we are filling our minds with. Continue to grow us and fill us with your Spirit. We love you. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Ask yourself this question…if Jesus walked in the room, would He be pleased with what you are watching, reading or listening to? Be mindful of what you are consuming.

SHARE WITH OTHERS

When you are with your friends, set an example of what God-honoring decisions look like. Hold each other accountable and encourage one another to focus on things of God and not of the world.
