Ep. 738 - Daddy’s DNA

Nov 5, 2025

MINISTRY MOMENT

We all know what it feels like to wander from God. We know what it feels like to be chasing after things we thought would satisfy, only to end up broken and empty. Like the prodigal son in Luke 15, we sometimes run far away, but the Father always calls us back home. The beauty of the gospel is that even when all we’ve given Him is trouble, He still gives us grace. And beyond grace, He gives us identity: we are His children, with His DNA, adopted into His family through Christ. That identity never fades, even when we stumble.

PRAYER POINT

“Father, thank You for never giving up on me. Even when I run, You call me back home. Thank You for the grace that covers my sin and the Spirit that lives within me. Help me to walk in my true identity as Your child, secure in Your love and strengthened by Your Spirit. Remind me daily that I carry my Daddy’s DNA. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

GOING DEEPER

Read the following. Luke 15:11–32 – Read the parable of the prodigal son and reflect on the Father’s response. Isaiah 1:18 – God’s promise to cleanse and restore us. Romans 5:8 – Christ’s sacrifice while we were still sinners. Romans 8:15–17 – Our adoption into God’s family as His beloved children. Which part of the prodigal story do you most relate to — the running away, the coming home, or the Father’s embrace?

WALK IT OUT

Take a few minutes this week to write down the areas where you’ve felt far from God. Then, pray over each one, releasing them to Him and thanking Him for welcoming you home. As a tangible reminder, speak this declaration over yourself daily: “I am a child of God!”

SHARE WITH OTHERS

Share your testimony with someone this week about how God’s grace has met you when you least deserved it. Your story may be the very thing that reminds them they can come home to the Father, too.
