Ep. 613 - Big Brother
MINISTRY MOMENT
Is it easy for you to judge others when they aren’t acting or living the way that you would? Or do you find yourself becoming bitter when somebody else receives a blessing or reward that you are pursuing?
PRAYER POINT
“Father, thank You that You are our good and perfect Father, and that You have good plans for every single one of us. We reject and repent of any attitudes that are bitter or judgmental towards others. Help us love people the way that You want us to love. In the name of Jesus, I pray, Amen!”
GOING DEEPER
Read and study 1 Samuel 17:1-29, Luke 15:11-32, and Matthew 7:3-5.
WALK IT OUT
If you are currently in a season of fighting the temptations of pride or bitterness, be encouraged and reminded of the fact that God has a specific plan and purpose for you, and it will be different (not better or worse) than the purposes that He has for others.
SHARE WITH OTHERS
If you see a close friend or family member struggling in these areas, remind them and encourage them with these Biblical truths. It’s helpful for all of us to be reminded that the church is made up of different people who all have different callings! We need to lift those up who are “below us,” and be excited for them as they encounter the blessings of God and the purposes that He has for them.
