Ep. 229 - Obedience if Foolishness

MINISTRY MOMENT

We have to make a daily decision to care more about what God thinks…than what man thinks. It sounds simple, but sometimes we all fall short and miss the mark. If our acts of obedience are acts of faith, and all our Lord has even been is faithful, then we’ve got nothing to lose. God’s track record is perfect.

PRAYER POINT

“Lord, help me to only care about what You think and what You say. I just want to make You happy. Help me to grow in my ability to follow You wherever You lead. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Read Lamentations 3:23-26, Hebrews 11:7, and Proverbs 1:7.

WALK IT OUT

Next time you feel like you’re getting prompted by the Holy Spirit to be stretched outside of your comfort zone, take a minute and be honest with yourself regarding what’s holding you back. Is it fear of man, or something else?

The next time you're hanging out with friends or family, ask them to share different times the Lord has asked them to step out of their comfort zone (in regards to acts of obedience) and how the Lord was faithful in spite of how uncomfortable it was at the time.
