Ep. 904 - Hunger & Thirst

MINISTRY MOMENT

Do you ever experience spiritual hunger and thirst, and feel far from God? It is important to realize that hunger or thirst for God is happening in our soul. But if we have come to Jesus, and believed in Him, our spirit is united with God’s Spirit! And in that place of union with God, we will never hunger or thirst!

PRAYER POINT

“Dear Lord, I have come to You and I believe in You! Please teach me to live from the place of spiritual union with You, even where there is no hunger and thirst, because I am filled with Your Spirit. When I experience lack in my soul, I choose to come to You and drink from Your living water. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

GOING DEEPER

Read and study Psalm 42:1-2, Psalm 143:6, Psalm 63:1, John 6:35, John 4:14, and John 7:37-38.

WALK IT OUT

When you feel far from God, or experience trials and disappointments, which cause you to hunger and thirst for Him, remember Jesus’ invitation to come to Him and drink, so that you can experience His rivers of living water. Be intentional to live from the place of union with God’s Spirit so you won’t experience that hunger and thirst in your soul.

SHARE WITH OTHERS

Share with others the difference between our soul being hungry and thirsty for God, and the truth that when our spirit is united with God’s Spirit, there is no hunger or thirst. We are filled with Him, so even when we experience disappointment or lack, we are satisfied and content in Him.
