Brothers in Battle | Session 6 | 10/08/24-10/14/24

Welcome to Session 6 of Man Up. This week, all the Men’s Groups are encouraged to meet together for an outdoor cookout on Wednesday evening, October 9th, 6:15 to 8 pm out at Clinton Lake. (All the men of the church will be invited to join us to help other guys get connected.) We will be hanging out at the main pavilion at Overlook Park, in the Corps of Engineers side of the park. Head west at the Corps of Engineers entrance - the first entrance you come to as you head north of the dam road - not the State Park road. Come out and join your brothers for a great time of food and fun on what should be a beautiful evening to be outdoors together.

Now, for this week’s encouragement to us, as we “Man Up.”

Boys are Lone Wolves. Men Run With a Pack. In the age of social media, we live in the most socially ‘connected’ culture in the history of the world. In spite of this, there is an epidemic of isolation and loneliness. Today, many people have the illusion of hundreds or thousands of social media “friends,” yet we have few, if any, close relationships.

This is true especially of men.
