BOYS COWER.  MEN COMPETE.

Last week, we dug into God’s call to greatness for every man, and His pathway to experience it. A central theme of Man Up is that God is looking for men to trust Him, serve Him, and accomplish great things with and for Him - for the glory of God and for the good of others.

In the context of faith and life, the Apostle Paul encourages us to not just run aimlessly in life, but to run like we desire and expect to win. I don’t believe this is just symbolic, religious language. I believe God desires for us to give our best, to give our all, and to realize that with God on our side, there is victory within reach in every endeavor of life.  Even if our victory requires a great last minute comeback, we are never “out of the game” with God on our team. While God’s standards for “winning” might differ in some ways from the world, the Bible is riddled with language revealing God’s desire for us to live in “victory!”
