Ep. 449 - Our Government Leaders

MINISTRY MOMENT

Be reminded that those serving in governmental leadership at all levels are people created in the image of God. Just as we all have weaknesses and needs, according to 1 Timothy 2, lift them up in prayer and ask God to save them and help them as they serve.

PRAYER POINT

“Father, thank You for those who serve in positions of authority. We pray for them to receive Your wisdom, Your truth and Your help. For those who do not know You as Lord and Savior, we pray for their salvation. We pray for revival in our community and our country. We pray for an awakening that brings about a change beyond what any person, party, or election could ever bring. In Jesus’ name, AMEN.”

GOING DEEPER

Read and reflect on 1 Timothy 2:1-6 and Proverbs 29.

WALK IT OUT

Commit in a new or fresh way to pray often for our city, county, state, and national leaders. Refuse to get swept into division or political strife. Instead, commit yourself to pray, vote, and serve how God would lead you. Trust God regardless of the outcomes. He has a bigger plan.

SHARE WITH OTHERS

Be a voice of hope, peace, and faith when the topic of politics or government arises. Look to facilitate and encourage prayer and trust in God.
