Ep. 461 - Meaningful Sorrow

MINISTRY MOMENT

Here’s the good news for us today. Through Christ Jesus, we can boldly approach the throne room of Grace, even when we have sinned and damaged our relationship with God and with others. God is faithful and just to forgive all of our sins when we turn to Him. If you're struggling with the pain and sorrow of your sin, know that you can turn to the Lord with all your heart and He will be right there. Acts 3:19 says, “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.”

PRAYER POINT

“Father, give us the faith and grace to bring godly sorrow to Your throne room of Grace. Forgive us of our sins and iniquities and lead us to a better relationship with You.”

GOING DEEPER

2 Corinthians 7:10 says, “For the kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. There’s no regret for that kind of sorrow. But worldly sorrow, which lacks repentance, results in spiritual death.” Does this verse surprise you? Why or why not?
