Ep. 934 - Jesus is First

MINISTRY MOMENT

What is first in your life? What is the most important to you? What do you live for? The Bible tells us that Jesus is the first, having supreme authority over everything! Let’s believe the truth of God’s Word, and give honor to Jesus as the first, number one, supreme authority in our lives!

PRAYER POINT

“Lord, Jesus, You are first and supreme in my life. Thank You for filling me with Your presence, and that I am complete in You, lacking nothing. Empower me to live every day with You as first in my life and heart. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

GOING DEEPER

Read and study John 1:1-3, Romans 8:29, Colossians 1:15-18, Ephesians 1:22-23, and Colossians 2:9-10.

WALK IT OUT

Pay attention to what you give priority to in your life. When you recognize an area where Jesus does not have first place, make a conscious decision to yield that area to Him, and choose to give Him the first place in every area of your life.

SHARE WITH OTHERS

As God reveals the truth of Him being first in everything, tell others the ways that God has become first place in your life. Share with them the truths that you have learned from the Bible that describe Jesus as first - firstborn over all creation, firstborn among the brethren, and firstborn from the dead, giving us resurrection and eternal life. He has supreme authority over all things and desires to have first place in our lives!
