We are releasing this statement to bring clarity to the confusion and to shine the light on false statements being made about Rev City Church.

Rev City Church had zero involvement in or awareness of the law enforcement activity that occurred on our property early in the morning of February 17th. At 6:59 a.m. our security cameras observed what appears to be an ongoing traffic stop occurring on Wakarusa Drive.  As often occurs, the interaction shifts to the church parking lot at 7:00 a.m.  At 7:09 a.m. all parties involved departed the lot and there was no additional activity observed.

Many online commentators have very irresponsibly and erroneously indicated that the church must have been aware of or involved in this activity. This is just not true in any way.

What is true is that the growing church family at Rev City is quite uniquely and extremely diverse, with many, many different cultures and countries represented and united together in the name of Jesus.

It is also true that the negativity and confusion introduced into this situation will not and cannot stop the move of God that Rev City and many other Christian churches in our city are experiencing. Many people of all ages and backgrounds are turning to God and encountering the love and forgiveness of Jesus.  Many people are beginning a new life of faith, joy, peace, and purpose that a relationship with Jesus brings.

We look forward to worshiping together, deepening our faith, celebrating with many people who are being water baptized, and growing even closer as a church family this upcoming Sunday.
