The city of Sardis seemed impenetrable, however because of unmaintained cracks in its walls, it fell to its enemies. How could this lesson be applied to our spiritual lives?

PRAYER POINT

“Father, show me where I might have cracks in my faith. Lead me by Your Spirit to fill those cracks with faith, love, and perseverance.”

GOING DEEPER

If we want to fill the spiritual “cracks” in our life, we have to get back to the basics. When is the last time you read the Bible on your own? When was the last time you worshiped the Lord with no one around? When was the last time you got down on your knees in repentance or went for a walk to talk with your Heavenly Father? These are the things all of us need to do as Christians to continually stand firm in our faith.
