Ep. 687 - Down the Rabbit Hole
MINISTRY MOMENT
The next time you are faced with not knowing where to dive in, just start somewhere…even if you just need to Google a “verse of the day”! Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you. He will never deceive you or take you on a journey that doesn’t lead you exactly where you need to be, and He will give you the information you need for the next step - not the overwhelming burden of all of the steps, just the next step or two! His thoughts and ways are higher than yours and will probably look different than you expected - it might be messy and seem random. I promise you, if you seek Him, you will find Him, right in the middle of all of it, and you will be amazed when you look back at it and see the results of His work - so rejoice in it!
PRAYER POINT
"Heavenly Father, thank You for going before me. Thank You for sending Your living Word, knowing exactly what I need today, and placing me in circumstances where I see Your hand at work in my comings and goings. Holy Spirit, thank You for guiding me to the Truth, and leading me in Your ways. God, I praise You for this day and all that comes with it, even if it feels uncomfortable and unfamiliar and out of sorts. You are always in it with me, and have my best interests at heart. Help me to relinquish the things that would make me stumble and deter me from following You. Your ways are highest, and I submit to You. Amen."
GOING DEEPER
Read and study Isaiah 55 and John 16 (with special notice of verse 13).
WALK IT OUT
When you are overwhelmed or can’t see a rhyme or reason to the plan, know that His Word will not go forth without accomplishing the task He set for it, and go forth in JOY, being led in His PEACE. He may be going about collecting all the bits and pieces before you can see the completed picture! Praise Him always...without knowing the whole picture, because you know His ways are higher and perfect! Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding!
SHARE WITH OTHERS
As you go through your week, go forth with the JOY of the Lord, and His PEACE that passes understanding. The PEACE that is higher than our ways will guide you! Share this joy with others, that it may be an encouragement and testament to the ways God is working in your life - the ones seen now, and things that have become apparent over time. Sharing these things may be the way that you put all the pieces together! Ask others how they have seen God moving, and join them in praise and prayer as they seek to walk with Him.
