Ep. 288 - Following the Herd

MINISTRY MOMENT

Look to your left. Look to your right. Do you find yourself alone, or are you surrounded by fellow brothers and sisters in Christ? Do you find yourself sleeping in on Sundays, or are you worshiping Jesus at a local church? Be encouraged that it’s never too late to make a positive change!

PRAYER POINT

“Father, thank You that YOU have an amazing plan and purpose for my life. Forgive me for the many times I find myself lagging behind those plans and purposes. Help me realize that your plans for me include living an active life alongside other Christians, and being plugged into a local Jesus-preaching church. Thank You for leading me and guiding me. In Your name, I pray, Amen!”

GOING DEEPER

Read and study 1 Peter 5:8. What are some practical changes that you can make in your life to ensure that you don’t lag behind the herd and get dangerously close to your enemy?

WALK IT OUT

It’s never too late to make a positive change! If you are currently struggling - make it a goal to find a Jesus-preaching local church, join a Bible study and grow friendships with fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. You will find yourself in a better position to grow as a child of God and you will find more safety and security from the attacks of Satan.

SHARE WITH OTHERS

If you see a close friend or family member lagging behind God’s purposes and plans for their lives, remind them and encourage them with these Biblical truths. It’s good for all of us to be reminded that each day we can choose to run toward God with new passion and faithfulness!
