Rev City Church Staff – “We are Team Builders, Problem Solvers and Culture Carriers.”

Thomas Humphries
Lead Pastor
I have served in full-time ministry since 2003, and have been married to my amazing wife Amity since January 2005. Every day I am even more glad that she said “Yes!” We are blessed with 4 beautiful children, and loving God and having fun together is the biggest part of our lives!
Eddie Diaz
Executive Pastor of Ministry
My passion is to encourage people to have a personal encounter with God, through Jesus Christ, and to help them discover their freedom and identity in Him. I am honored to serve as the Executive Pastor of Ministries, and my goal is to equip and release believers to advance the kingdom of God within their sphere of influence.
As a pastor I have served in ministry since 2001. In addition to my experience as an Executive Pastor, I have had an opportunity to serve as a Lead Pastor as well as an Associate Pastor and have had the honor to serve in almost every area of ministry within the church.
I have had the incredible privilege of being married to my wife, Beth since 1997, and together we have three amazing children, Brandon, Miranda and Camden, and our family dog named Rocky. Beth and I strive to provide a fun, honest and peaceful home, where everyone is encouraged to share their personal truth and receive God’s unchanging truth in love, all with a lot of laughter in the mix! Some of my favorite things are eating dark chocolate, smoking meat on the grill and playing and watching sports, in that order.
Micah Barclay
Executive Pastor Of Operations
I am a disciple of Jesus, husband, father, and minister of the gospel. I am passionate about seeing people from all ages and walks of life, to get to know the Lord in a real and personal way. It is my highest honor and privilege to get to reveal the Father’s love to everyone I come in contact with and make a Kingdom impact in the world in which we live.
My beautiful wife, Adrienne and I have been married since 2009 and have four adorable kids. I have attended Rev City since 2005, and Adrienne has attended for her entire life. We have served in many different roles and capacities at Rev City over the years, including youth ministry and the praise and worship team. Before joining the staff at Rev City, I worked several years in the mutual fund industry in one of the world’s largest financial transfer agencies. I did my undergrad at the University of Kansas and am currently working on my Master’s degree in Spiritual Leadership from the Kings University.
Outside of church, I love spending time with my family. When I need some alone time I love getting outdoors especially, hunting, fishing, hiking and camping.
Pieter Willems
Pastor of Pastoral Care
I love helping people! I believe that God has made a life of love, joy and peace possible for us. He is passionate to see people set free from issues that limit and prevent us from living an abundant life … so am I!
I have been a part of this church’s pastoral staff from 1979 to 2015. From 2016 to the present I have worked as a Hospice Chaplain. Now, once again I have joined the pastoral staff at Rev City Church to provide pastoral care to church members.
I have been married to my awesome wife since 1974. We have 5 children and 14 grandchildren who we love to spoil! One of my favorite past-times is remodeling projects. A fun fact about me is that I was born in South Africa and immigrated here with my family in 1960.
I look forward to serving you!
Beth Diaz
Women’s Ministry & Connections Director
Wife, mom, mentor, dream manager, sister, writer and friend are a few of the words that describe me. My passion is to help people, young and old and from all walks of life, discover who they are in Christ, find out what their purpose and calling is and encourage them to pursue the calling and passion God has put in them.
I am blessed to serve as the Ministry Connections Director, where I get to help people connect to the various ministries here at Rev City Church. As I meet people and hear their story, I look forward to helping them find their place in the Rev City Family.
My greatest joy is being married to my husband, Eddie, and watching our three adult children become all God has called them to be. In my free time I enjoy writing, spending time building relationships and hanging out with my family!
Amity Humphries
Communications Director
My heart and passion is for people of all ages, backgrounds and walks of life to be filled with confidence, joy and the vibrant life of Jesus Christ. God promises us in Ephesians 3:20 that HE IS ABLE to do exceedingly, abundantly above ALL we can ask or think through His mighty power. Through Him and Him alone, I have personally experienced God’s miraculous love, freedom, healing, acceptance and grace, and I desire to see all of His precious sons and daughters to receive the same!
I have been married to my incredible husband, Thomas since January 2005 and continue to fall more madly in love with him every day. Being a pastor’s wife since age 17, I have had the honor and privilege to serve alongside my husband in various roles. From cleaning toilets & answering phones, to serving & leading in areas such as Children’s Ministry, Youth Ministry, Worship, Administration and more. I absolutely LOVE organizing, writing, planning, making schedules and checklists – so I find great joy in my role overseeing all aspects of communications at Rev City!
Thomas and I are blessed with 4 beautiful and vibrant children. Our life is very busy and sometimes kinda crazy, but we strive to keep a healthy balance of serving the church, spending time as a family, working hard, playing hard and resting well.
My favorite things to do include date nights with T on Mass Street, family movie time in our living room with LOTS of pillows and blankets and playing softball with my Rev City Sisters!
Nathan Hammer
Media & Production Director
It is my passion to see quality media be an advantageous tool in reaching people for Jesus Christ. Far too often, media is utilized in a way that hinders the Gospel. God has placed media on my heart since my freshman year in high school and He has graciously led me by the hand ever since. I’ve been blessed to attend this church for my entire life. Over the years I’ve always envisioned a strong and effective media presence taking root here. It has been an honor to serve and grow in this church body that has meant so much to me for all of my life.
After graduating high-school in 2007, I attended a two-year film and media internship in Texas. After returning to Kansas, I received my bachelor’s from the University of Kansas in Film & Media Studies, with a Minor in Business. I have been blessed to work for various Christian organizations over the past decade—utilizing media within all of them to help reach people for Jesus. Media can (and will!) be used to impact the Kingdom of God.
I could not do what I do without the help, love, support, and encouragement from my best friend and wife, Betsy. We have been married since 2012, and our two amazing boys (rambunctiously cute!) keep us active and busy. Being the church’s resident “media guy”, it’s probably a cliche that I enjoy all things media: editing videos, watching movies & tv shows, and having Hans Zimmer’s soundtracks looping on repeat. Like 90% of Lawrence natives, I enjoy watching KU basketball and exploring God’s beautiful nature around Clinton Lake. My heart is filled with so much joy spending time with my family and I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world! The Lord has blessed me immensely and I am so thankful that I get to walk with Him each and every day. It’s my ultimate desire to pursue Him more, know Him more, and be changed by His love.
Mackenzie Novo-Gradac
Youth & Kids Ministry Director
Constructing an environment for kids to feel welcomed, loved, supported, and encouraged in Christ is my passion. I want every child to experience radical transformation in the Lord and to know that they are a precious, cherished part of the kingdom of God. Watching a child get excited that they brought their Bible to church or that they remembered their memory verse, is a testament to what this ministry strives to accomplish. I am honored to walk alongside these children and to speak the truth, wisdom, and love of the Lord over them. That they might know who their Lord and Savior is and have an intimate relationship with Him!
I am originally from Michigan but came to Lawrence in 2017 to attend the University of Kansas. I happened to randomly visit Rev City years prior while in town for a tour of KU. I immediately knew that the Lord had brought me here for a specific purpose. I began to get plugged into the worship team and Rev City Kids ministry and saw the Holy Spirit alive and moving in the church! I graduated from the University of Kansas in December of 2020 with a Speech-Language-Hearing degree and hopes to eventually become an audiologist and work with children who have hearing loss. In the now, the Lord is calling me to help children hear in the spiritual realm and to listen to the calling Jesus has placed on their lives and I couldn’t be more excited!
In my free time, I love to spend time with friends as they have become my family here in Kansas. I also love to read – when they’re not textbooks for school – and have quite a large collection of books! Spending time outdoors hiking, hammocking, going to sporting events or just enjoying God’s beautiful creation is a blessing I never take for granted and always enjoy doing!
Brandon Diaz
Social Media & AV Director
My passion is to advance God’s Kingdom through story telling. Specifically, creating content with videos, photos and music. I believe that everyone has a testimony, and that there is true power in sharing it with the world. My heart is for people; to see them transformed by the love of Jesus Christ, to ultimately step into their true purpose and identity. Among others, diversity, unity and authenticity are the areas that I value when it comes to making an impact in our church and in our communities.
I was born in Amarillo, Texas but moved all over the state throughout the years until joining the Rev City team in June of 2021. After graduating high school in 2012, I attended several universities in Texas, in hopes of pursuing a major that would lead to a career I could be passionate about. My first degree was an Associate in Audio Engineering. I later decided to finish my academic career at the University of Texas at Arlington. In Spring of 2019 I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Broadcast Communication. During that time, I picked up a camera that would eventually lead to an incredible season of life; traveling, freelancing, contracting and perfecting my craft in film, photography and production. I have been so blessed to work with incredible individuals, ministries and organizations to promote their stories and resources that shed light on all that God is doing in their communities.
When I’m not working, I enjoy exploring the outdoors, getting a good workout in at the gym, playing sports with friends and tracking/mixing music at home. If I’m not engaging in any of those, you can find me in front of a computer, surfing YouTube for inspiration and new challenges to take on. Growing up, I was exposed to the art of pruning, or rather, the importance of necessary endings. Leaving Texas was a difficult decision, but one that I would make every single time, because of the growth and healing that this new season has brought me. I’m beyond grateful to be a part of this amazing team, and to see all that the Lord is preparing us for.
Laura Roth
Finance Administrator
Growing up I never saw myself working in ministry. The moment God radically touched my life, everything changed. I knew every single person needed to hear about Jesus and His amazing love; however, I wasn’t sure how He could use my skill set to make an impact for the Kingdom. God’s timing is perfect and I am grateful He chose me to walk this life with Him.
My hunky husband, Michael, and I have been married since 2011 and He has blessed us abundantly with four beautiful children: Breckyn, Asher, Olivia and Eli. We walked through the doors of Rev City Church for the first time in August 2014, plugged in, and never looked back. This is our home. We hope you will find your home here as well!
I graduated from Fort Hays State University with my dual Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance in 2008 and gained my certification as a Certified Public Accountant in 2010. Over the years, God has used me professionally in the public accounting world, as well as in the private industry of international construction. He has also used my giftings to serve on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Finney County.
In the majority of my time, you will find me with my family. It is such an honor to raise these three children to know, love, and serve God. We enjoy traveling, spending time outdoors, making memories, and helping my dad with wheat harvest.
Jeremy Criddle
Audio Production Associate
I have had a love for music since I was little, but as I got older, it developed into a love for how music is made and truly brought to life. When I started serving here at Rev City I didn’t even know broadcast audio engineering was a thing until I was approached last minute to fill in on a Sunday morning. Now, I can’t help but smile that God has put me in a position that is a dream come true – a Sound Engineer – while doing it with the best kind of music you could ever create…worship to The Almighty.
I’m a man of God striving to bring glory to His name in everything I do. I live in the beautiful town of Lawrence, Kansas with my wife, Madison and our 2 beautiful kids, Bentley and Ava. Madison and I have been married since 2019, a few months after joining the Rev City family. I serve Rev City Youth on Wednesdays nights as well.
I love being with my family. My kids and wife give me all the motivation a man needs to be his best self. I’m a sports guy that loves to compete…GO CHIEFS!
Ann Brooks
Worship Associate
I started attending this church in 2010 and it completely transformed my relationship with Jesus! I’ve always had a passion for music and art and I’m so excited to be able to use my music degree and design background to help create an environment that can help usher people into God’s presence.
My husband Seth and I met in the college ministry at church in 2010 and got married in 2016. We are blessed to have two amazing kiddos and are so thankful to be able to raise them with an amazing church family.
When I’m not serving with the Worship Team you can find me wearing my mom hat at home with our kids, or at a computer growing our family’s visual marketing business.
Victor Li Wang
Audio Production Associate
I first attended Rev City in September of 2018 thanks to my sister’s invitation to serve back in the sound booth. An additional interest in and need for volunteers led me to spend a lot of time learning from mentors at Rev City Church. These relationships sent me down the path I am currently on today – serving as the Audio Production Associate. Ultimately, although I do enjoy music greatly, what continues to light me up each time I serve is simply being part of a team that enjoys each other’s company.
My one sibling and I were both born in Huntsville, AL. Our family proceeded to move a few times before we moved to Lawrence, KS in 2012. I attended school in St. Louis before returning home in 2016. Finally, two kittens joined our home in 2020!
Outside of music, I have recently began playing tennis more competitively, and it’s been a fun way of finding a reason to take short road trips. I also enjoy looking up the endless things I don’t know about on my phone.
Bethany Prothro
Worship Associate
Leading people into God’s presence is something I have been passionate about since the moment I felt God’s presence for the first time. Since that day, I have had a desire to lead and equip others into their destiny as worshippers. I pray that each person that attends a Rev City service would walk away knowing that they were created to worship Jesus!
My husband Davion and I have been married since 2010 and have one child. We have moved around a lot since starting our family, but we are happy to call Lawrence, KS our home.
I love spending time with my friends and family, listening to as much worship music as possible, and going on evening walks with our Great Dane.
Caj Kueffer
Associate Worship & Technical Director
I am passionate about others encountering our gracious Heavenly Father and have a burning desire to see songs released from those encounters. Only in HIS presence are we able to recognize and exercise our authority as a son or daughter of the Most High God. When Children of God praise God, it moves the heart of God and strongholds come down.
I am one of nine children to two wonderful people, Steve and Pam Kueffer. My stunning wife and I were married at Rev City in 2017. We have two children, a mighty boy named Zephaniah and a precious baby girl named Allyn.
I have a deep love for writing songs, playing basketball and running. As a family, we enjoy going on walks, playing with our precious kiddos and dreaming up new house projects!
Adrienne Barclay
Associate Worship Director
I am a follower of Jesus, wife, and a mother. I am passionate about seeing people learn to worship Jesus with a pure heart. It is such an honor and privilege to worship with my brothers and sisters in Christ and lead them into the presence of God every Sunday at Rev City. I love teaching others to use their gifts and talents for the Lord.
My husband Micah and I have been married since 2009 and have four wonderful children. I have been blessed to attend this church my entire life. I have served in many different roles and capacities at Rev City over the years, including youth ministry and the worship team. Before joining the staff at Rev City, I was a private vocal and piano teacher for 15 years. I have always been involved in music. I played piano from a very young age and competed in many music competitions and festivals. You might even catch me singing some Italian opera when I’m not singing contemporary Christian music.
I love spending time with my busy and energetic family. We love to have dance parties, sing loud, and play outside together. We always call our house a “revolving door” because someone is always over for dinner or just to hang out. We love hosting people and getting to know others over a meal at our lively table.
Subrina Zeller
Connections
Coordinator
I go by many names that I am honored and proud of like daughter, sister, wife, and mom, but there is one name I stake claim to that I am most passionate about and that is daughter of the Most High. I have been involved in the body of Christ since I was born but officially became a Christian at the age of 7. Since that time, my walk with God has seen many twists and turns but was always working for my good. In late 2018, God added new fuel to the flame in my heart to spread the “Good News”. My passion today is to support people as they discover and grow to maturity in their walk with Christ, find out what their God-given purpose is and begin working in a powerful way within their calling.
I am excited and blessed to serve as the Connections Coordinator here at Rev City. In this position, I am able to use the organizational and administration gifts God has placed in me. I work alongside other leaders as we strive to provide an environment where people can meet with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit as well as other believers to grow and stay plugged into the abundant life Christ came to give us. I enjoy seeing people step into serving and praising God with a joy that overflows from a grateful heart.
I am overcome with humility as I recount God’s grace toward me. I married my husband Ronnie in August of 2007 and in November of 2009 our first son, Jakobey, was born. Then in 2011 our second son, Brylen, was born and in 2015 our daughter Averlye completed our growth as a family. In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing, leading life groups, gardening and gaming with my family.
Kendall Novo-Gradac
Youth Director
I was led back to the Lord my sophomore year of high school after years of being poured into by mentors. I have a strong belief that we need people in our life who are speaking the word of God into us as well as giving us an example of what a Christ-driven person can be like. Without God placing leaders and mentors into my life, I can’t say that I’d be the same man that I am today.
My goal is to minister and disciple our generation of youth. I believe that our youth years are some of the most impressionable years of our lifetime. The younger generation is in desperate need of Jesus.
Outside of Rev City, I love spending time with my beautiful wife Mackenzie and our dog Loki. I have a strong passion for music and play multiple instruments with my favorite being guitar! I graduated from Baker University in May of 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management.
Katelyn Hammer
Receptionist
Facilitating, greeting, organizing, and helping others are tasks I both love and believe are vital components in operating the Lord’s House. As receptionist, I am the first face greeted at the desk and the first voice spoken to on the phone, so I strive to fill such a role with friendliness, excellence, and servanthood. Ultimately, it is my goal and lifelong desire to be the hands and feet of Christ by guiding people to Christ and a relationship with their Father!
I have been a part of this church since I was born in 1999. Growing up in this church, attending Sunday School, youth group, and serving in multiple areas such as childcare, Rev City Church has been considered a second home for most of my life! I graduated from the University of Kansas in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design. I currently serve on our youth ministry staff and have developed a passion for helping lead our youth to Jesus.
When I am not working or serving at Rev City Church, you will probably find me hanging out with my friends, getting out in nature, sitting at coffee shops, or designing and creating. Art is one of my lifelong passions!
Julie Hammer
Administrative Assistant to Pastoral Ministries
God has given me a passion to see people know the truth of who they are in Christ! My role at Rev City as Administrative Assistant to Pastoral Ministries allows me to meet with hurting people and help them to be set free and walk in the life of victory that Jesus purchased for them at the cross. God has created me as a detailed person, so my role also includes some administrative duties in assisting the pastoral staff.
Rev City Church is my home and I absolutely love it! I have been involved in our church since 1982 and this is where I met my husband. Gary & I were married in 1983, and have been blessed with 4 children and 6 grandchildren. We have served in many capacities at our church over the years, including serving as deacons, life group leaders, prayer ministry team leaders, church softball team coaches, and first-impressions team members.
In addition to my role at Rev City Church, I am also an artist. I graduated from KU in 1983 with a degree in graphic design and have operated a home-based art business since 1988. I have shown my work at art shows over the years. I create custom paintings and portraits for clients and teach small group art classes. I enjoy painting and continue to show my work on a limited basis. Some of my favorite things to do include cheering on the Jayhawks’ basketball team, hanging out with my family, traveling and spending time outside in God’s beautiful creation.
Kellie Brittingham
Events Coordinator
Hi I’m Kellie and my husband Ryan and I have lived and owned a dental practice in Lawrence for 21 years. We have been married since 1996 and have three children that are all in very different stages of life which keeps life moving at a fast pace!!
In 2021 we sold the dental practice and moved briefly to Buffalo New York, but God called us right back and now we understand He had more plans for us right here in Lawrence! After returning home, getting more involved at Rev City Church was weighing on our hearts. I was praying for a new calling on my life and something to fill the gap left from running a busy dental practice all those years. God answered and I joined the Rev City team as the Events Coordinator in December of 2021.
I have always enjoyed being creative and planning events in our lives, for my kids, and our family. I love creating an atmosphere where people can feel God’s presence and experience His goodness all while having fun!
Seth Brooks
Cafe Manager
I grew up in this church and have seen God working through Rev City all these years. Even as faces have
changed over the years, it’s been amazing to see how God has faithfully changed lives through this church. Over the years, a lot of the ministry and meaningful moments I have shared with others have been over a cup of coffee. I love getting to connect with people and welcome them with a tasty drink from the Café. I’ve served in the church in various roles for 17 years and am thankful to be a part of welcoming people to encounter God and find community.
My wonderful wife, Ann, and I have been married since 2016 and are blessed with two adorable kids. It’s amazing to see them run around and enjoy the same church I grew up in. My full-time work is in communications at the University of Kansas where I graduated. Beyond my work, I love to travel abroad, participate in sports, and dancing at weddings.
My favorite pastimes are strategy tabletop games. Basically, I like using my brain in strategic and creative ways while hanging out with friends.
Laura Stone
Children’s Ministry Assistant
As I have been growing and maturing in my faith, God has put a fire in my heart to serve in
Children’s Ministry and walk alongside these kids as they begin and cultivate their relationship
with the Lord. Seeing their bright smiles as they come through the door puts such a joy in me!
My heart is to guide these children to the truth and to help raise up bold, loving, Spirit-filled
kids through the help and power of God!
When the opportunity arose to for this position, I knew God was calling me to take a step of faith and trust in Him as He establishes my plans. I recently got married, as of July 2022, to my husband Parker Stone and are living in a house that he built for us near Perry Lake! We have grown closer as a couple by having God in the center
of our relationship, and we see His many blessings and provision everyday. I stand in awe of
God’s goodness and faithfulness!
In my free time, I love to be active! I am a mountain girl by heart and love to be hiking and
exploring the mountains when I get the chance to. But when I am home in Kansas, going on
walks in nature and sitting in God’s beautiful world fulfills me just as much. I love dogs and am
hoping that to get a labradoodle in the near future!
Madison Criddle
Facilities Custodian
Taking care of the Lord’s house is something I am very passionate about. Creating a space that is clean and inviting is important in creating the atmosphere that we desire here at Rev City Church. It is a great honor of mine to be serving in this capacity.
I have been married to my husband, Jeremy, since 2019. We are blessed to have three beautiful children, Bentley, Ava and Maverick. Showing them what it looks like to serve Jesus, in my position at the church and in our everyday life, is our greatest responsibility!
In my spare time, I love to read and write! My favorite books are ones that will grow my faith and my role as a mother and wife. Writing poetry is something that has deepened my level of intimacy with the Lord and I hope to continue growing in that aspect!
Clint Kueffer
Elder
I have been attending the church for more than three decades and am the oldest of Steve and Pam Kueffer’s 9 children. My wife Sarah & I were married in the church in 2004, have assisted with Alpha for several years, have served as deacons and I have been an Elder since 2014.
Prior to serving as Elder, I played guitar on the worship team for approximately twenty years.
My wife & I own and operate an independent insurance agency – Integrity Midwest Insurance. When not at work or church, I love spending time with my amazing wife Sarah, our wonderful children and all of my brothers and sisters. When I’m not spending time with my family, I might be trying to beat Pastor Thomas at golf… a feat I admit may not happen before Christ’s return.
Terry Marshall
Elder
I have been married to my beautiful wife, Kathy for 47+ years and we have 3 daughters, 2 sons in-law and 4 fabulous, active grandsons. We have been attending this church for 35 years & have served in many capacities during this time.
My desire is particularly to help people discover & understand God’s purpose for their lives, and to pursue their purpose with passion. Kathy & I both are both excited about the direction the Lord is leading Rev City & enjoy interceding in prayer to see God’s purpose accomplished.
I am in the aerospace industry & currently am President of a small, local Aeronautical Engineering services company. I enjoy traveling & playing golf.
Thomas & Amity Humphries
Pastor
I have served in full-time ministry since 2003, and have been married to my amazing wife Amity since January 22, 2005. Every day I am even more glad that she said “Yes!” We are blessed with 4 beautiful children, and loving God and having fun together is the biggest part of our lives!
Early in 2015, we heard the Lord tell us to prepare for transition. In faith, we resigned our position at a wonderful church in a beautiful part of Texas and began to pray. We sensed the Lord tell us that He had asked us to become unattached so that we could be part of His answer to the prayers of a precious group of people that were beginning to walk through a leadership transition. In the summer of 2015, the Lord connected us to this church and brought numerous confirmations that we were to move our family to Lawrence to serve this church, city and region. Because we are passionate about Jesus, we are passionate about people! We have a strong desire to see every person discover the life-changing love, forgiveness, freedom, and empowerment of God in a way that helps them live abundant, adventurous, and courageous lives of faith! We are honored and humbled to serve, and are very excited about the future of the church and all that God desires to do in Lawrence and the surrounding area! If we haven’t already, we hope to meet you soon!
Above all, I love to spend time with my family. I also enjoy golfing, fishing, and playing sports with friends! I’m a life-long Dallas Cowboys fan, but it’s been easy for me to quickly root for all teams Kansas! The moment of truth for me will be if and when the Cowboys and Chiefs play in the Super Bowl!
